Led by director Robyn (‘RWS’) Winfield-Smith, the studio develops and directs ambitious immersive projects for Apple Vision Pro and other emerging formats, combining strong narrative craft with new approaches to capture, virtual production, and cross-media storytelling.
Liminal is currently producing a scripted immersive drama for Apple Vision Pro using Blackmagic’s URSA Cine Immersive camera, bringing theatrical storytelling into a new cinematic format.

Robyn Winfield-Smith is a stage, screen, and immersive director working across XR, immersive video, and emerging production formats.
As Founder-Director of Liminal Stage Productions, she leads the creative development and direction of projects that bring together performance, cinema, and technology. Her work is rooted in storytelling and performance, with a particular focus on what new immersive formats can make possible.
With a background in critically acclaimed multimedia theatre and emerging technologies, Robyn brings creative direction and production experience to projects at the forefront of immersive storytelling.
