Getting here from Warsaw Chopin Airport

Warsaw Chopin Airport is approximately 10 km from central Warsaw and is connected directly to the city by train, bus and taxi services.

By train - the easiest public-transport option

The airport railway station is directly connected to the airport terminal. Trains operated by SKM and Koleje Mazowieckie connect the airport with central Warsaw.

The journey to central Warsaw takes approximately 20–22 minutes, depending on the service.

For Immersive Warsaw, you can travel towards Warszawa Centralna or Warszawa Śródmieście and then walk to the Palace.

Estimated total time: around 25–35 minutes

By bus

Bus 175 connects Chopin Airport with central Warsaw, including the area around Warszawa Centralna.

The airport also has other city bus services, including routes 188, 148 and 331.

Estimated journey: around 30 minutes, although traffic can make the journey longer.

By Uber or Bolt

Both Uber and Bolt operate in Warsaw, and they are convenient if you have luggage or are travelling with several people.

Allow approximately 25–40 minutes from Chopin Airport to the Palace, depending on traffic. During weekday rush hours, allow extra time.

For an event starting at 14:00, we recommend allowing a generous buffer if travelling by road.

Getting here from Warsaw Modlin Airport

Modlin Airport is farther from Warsaw than Chopin Airport, so allow more time for the journey.

Direct bus

Direct bus services connect Warsaw Modlin Airport with central Warsaw. There are direct services operated by CONTBUS and FlixBus.

The typical journey to central Warsaw is approximately 45 minutes, although traffic can affect the journey time.

Some services arrive close to Warszawa Centralna, making the final walk to the Palace straightforward.

Estimated total: approximately 50–70 minutes, depending on the service, traffic and walking time.

Train

There is no railway station directly at Modlin Airport. Instead, a dedicated airport shuttle bus connects the airport terminal with Modlin railway station.

From Modlin station, trains operated by Koleje Mazowieckie run towards Warsaw, including Warszawa Centralna.

The train journey from Modlin station to Warszawa Centralna is currently around 40–45 minutes, with the airport shuttle adding additional time.

Estimated total: approximately 60–90 minutes, depending on the shuttle and train connection.

Arriving by train: Warszawa Centralna

If you are arriving in Warsaw by train, the venue could hardly be more convenient.

Warszawa Centralna railway station is approximately 650 metres from the Palace of Culture and Science, which is roughly a 5 minute walk.

Simply follow signs towards Centrum / Palace of Culture and Science. The Palace is the distinctive high-rise landmark directly beside the station.

If you have heavy luggage, there are options to store it at the railways station in the lockers or storage office.

Getting around Warsaw

Warsaw has an extensive public-transport network consisting of:

The Centrum metro station is immediately next to the Palace and is served by Warsaw's central metro network.

Public-transport tickets

Warsaw's short-term tickets are time-based, meaning you can change between buses, trams and metro during the ticket's validity period.

Current standard fares include:

• 20-minute ticket: PLN 3.40 ($0.91 / €0.80)

• 75-minute ticket, Zone 1: PLN 4.40 ($1.18 / €1.03)

• 90-minute ticket, Zones 1+2: PLN 7.00 ($1.88 / €1.64)

Tickets need to be activated/validated when you start your journey. For the metro, validation takes place before entering the paid area.

Walking

Central Warsaw is very walkable, and many of the places around the event venue can be reached on foot.

The Palace is particularly well placed for exploring the city before or after Immersive Warsaw. Nowy Świat, Krakowskie Przedmieście and the Old Town are all accessible by walking or a short public-transport journey.

A few things worth seeing while you're in Warsaw

If you have extra time before or after Immersive Warsaw, Warsaw has plenty to explore.

Old Town & Royal Castle

Walk through Warsaw's historic Old Town and visit Royal Castle. The area around Castle Square is one of the city's most recognisable sights.

Krakowskie Przedmieście & Nowy Świat

These two streets form part of the historic Royal Route and are an easy way to continue from the Old Town towards central Warsaw. Nearby, you can also visit St. Cross Church (Kościół Świętego Krzyża), which is home to the heart of Poland’s most famous composer, Frédéric Chopin.

Warsaw Uprising Museum

The Warsaw Uprising Museum tells the story of the 1944 Warsaw Uprising and is one of the city's major historical museums.

Łazienki Królewskie

Łazienki Królewskie is Warsaw's famous historic park and palace complex. It is a good choice if you want some time outdoors away from the city centre.

POLIN Museum

The POLIN Museum of the History of Polish Jews presents the history of Jewish life in Poland and is located near the former Jewish district.
